LNK Pilates offers small group training classes (Full Studio Classes) utilizing exercises on the Mat, Reformer, Spring Wall, Cadillac, Chair and Barrel. The maximum number of clients per class is six.

  • Full Studio 1 is Essential Level (easiest).
  • Full Studio 2 is Intermediate Level.
  • Full Studio 3 is Advanced Level (hardest).

Instructors will teach a full body workout each class using one or more pieces of equipment and exercises on the mat. Some Full Studio classes are geared toward specific goals including restoration of posture & balance (Restorative), enhanced athletic performance (Athletic Conditioning), cardiovascular and caloric expenditure (Jumpboard) or predominate use of one type of exercise repertoire (i.e. Mat, Reformer, etc.). This is listed under Focus on the schedule.

Definition of Full Studio Classes

Full Studio 1: Essential Level (beginner) is focused on the basic principles of Pilates, mobilizing the spine, shoulders & hips and initial strengthening of core musculature.

Full Studio 2: Intermediate Level is focused on strengthening the core and peripheral musculature (arms & legs), increasing overall exercise endurance and improving neuromuscular control & coordination.

Full Studio 3: Advanced Level is focused on building strength & endurance through the core & periphery. Requires considerable upper body strength, and neuromuscular control & coordination.

Definition of Areas of Focus

Athletic Conditioning: Offered at the Intermediate or Advanced Levels. Classes are designed for amateur athletes or physically fit individuals that are capable of transitioning quickly between exercises, and want a challenging workout. Endurance, coordination and strength are required.

Athletic Conditioning Plus classes are 70 minutes long and include Advanced Level exercises.

Restorative: Offered at the Essential or Intermediate Level. Classes are designed for individuals that wish to restore balance & posture, increase flexibility & core strength and get relief from every day aches & pains. Clients may require modifications for some, but not all, exercises and are able to work in a group setting. Examples include individuals with joint replacements, low back pain, autoimmune disorders or osteoporosis. Private instruction is required before starting classes to learn the appropriate modifications. Classes are conducted in a supportive environment at a steady pace.

Jumpboard: Offered at the Intermediate Level. Classes are designed for individuals wanting a cardiovascular workout and higher caloric expenditure. Endurance in legs and arms is required and individuals must be capable of sustained activity on the Jumpboard.
