Pick the Right Class
Hi there! Welcome to our Studio and we are thrilled you have decided to make Pilates part of your weekly routine. We hope you and your body will crave the lengthening, strengthening and balance that come from consistent Pilates exercise (we recommend twice a week). Remember, Pilates is not an indulgence but an investment in your health.
A good fit between Class & Client is critical to the success of your Pilates Program. At LNK Pilates, we have a maximum of five clients per class. Each client will get individual exercise modifications to fit their specific bodies. Because our classes are small, clients get to know each other and we foster a fun and social atmosphere. After all, it is much more motivating to go meet friends for a good workout than to go exercise by yourself!
All new clients are asked to come in for an Introductory Private Session. You’ll work out. Get familiar with the equipment. Learn essential exercises. And decide, along with the Instructor, the best program for you moving forward. If you choose to go into small group training classes right away, your Instructor will advise you on the best classes for you.
Here are some general guidelines:
- If you want to get back in shape and you have no limitations in your joints, muscles or spine, start with Full Studio 1 at the Essential Level.
- If you require exercise modifications for orthopedic injuries or medical conditions, start with Full Studio 1 Restorative. One or more Private Sessions are required before starting class to learn the appropriate modifications.
- If you are physically fit and want a challenging workout, try Full Studio 2 Athletic Conditioning. Instructor approval is required if you are new to the Studio. For a little extra boost, enroll into the Athletic Conditioning Plus classes that run 70 rather than 50 minutes.
- For cardiovascular benefit or weight loss, try our Full Studio 2 Jump board.
- Private Sessions are required for Post-rehabilitation from illness or injury.
